We are actively interviewing candidates for a Regional Sales Manager-Northeast Region opportunity in Houston, Texas.

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of sales, channel development, and marketing activities within an assigned territory. This individual will drive sales strategy, develop talent, manage performance, and foster strong relationships with dealers, distributors, OEMs, and end users.

The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and optimal performance across the organization.

Reporting Structure

Reports To: Vice President of Sales or Director of Sales

Key Relationships:

  • Global and Functional Leadership Teams

  • Dealers and Distribution Partners

  • OEM Customers

  • End Users

  • Local Industry and Business Communities

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and value-based selling techniques.

  • Develop and expand dealer and distribution networks within the assigned territory.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for dealer and end-user territory management.

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

  • Increase market share through strategic account development and customer engagement.

Competitive Analysis

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of competitive products, pricing, and market positioning.

  • Analyze competitor activities and identify opportunities to strengthen market presence.

  • Effectively communicate product differentiation and value propositions to customers and channel partners.

Product & Technical Expertise

  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of the company's product portfolio.

  • Demonstrate technical understanding of product functionality and applications.

  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.

Performance Management & Forecasting

  • Achieve and exceed sales goals and key performance indicators established by sales leadership.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates through weekly reporting.

  • Monitor territory activity, customer issues, market trends, and competitive developments.

  • Recommend strategies to improve productivity, customer satisfaction, and sales performance.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams.

  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives that contribute to business growth and customer success.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5–10 years of outside sales experience within industrial manufacturing, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or related industries.

  • Experience selling through dealer, distribution, OEM, or channel partner networks.

  • Proven success utilizing Value-Based Selling methodologies.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical products and applications.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and listening skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a root cause/countermeasure approach.

  • Executive presence, emotional intelligence, and sound business judgment.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business conditions.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated, process-oriented, and results-driven mindset.

  • High energy level, resilience, and sense of urgency.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 70% travel, including overnight travel as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Territory-Northeast Region – United States

The territory includes:

Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
