We are actively interviewing candidates for a Regional Product Support Manager-North America opportunity.
Position Summary
A leading global manufacturer of construction and heavy equipment is expanding its North American presence and building a world-class aftermarket support organization focused on product reliability, dealer capability, customer uptime, and service excellence.
The Regional Product Support Manager provides frontline technical support, product expertise, and dealer service development throughout North America. This role is responsible for advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, technical reporting, dealer training, machine commissioning, field campaigns, warranty support, and product improvement initiatives.
This is a highly hands-on, field-based position for an individual who enjoys solving complex equipment issues, working directly with dealers and customers, and helping build scalable product support processes within a growing OEM environment.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer & Field Technical Support

Serve as the primary technical resource for dealers, providing guidance on diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair strategies, and field support.

Support machine commissioning, diagnostic equipment setup, software updates, and field service campaigns.

Assist with parts identification, technical information requests, and dealer service inquiries.

Provide timely technical support to minimize equipment downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
Training & Dealer Development

Deliver in-person and virtual technical training programs for dealer service technicians.

Support new dealer onboarding and technical readiness initiatives.
-
Help improve dealer service capabilities, response times, and customer uptime.

Develop technical competency programs that support long-term dealer success.
Engineering, Quality & Warranty Support

Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to communicate field feedback, recurring issues, and product improvement opportunities.

Lead or support investigations related to product performance, warranty escalations, safety concerns, and quality improvement initiatives.

Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective action development.

Assist with warranty analysis, failure reporting, and field performance evaluations.
Documentation & Process Improvement

Develop service documentation, troubleshooting guides, technical bulletins, training materials, and field reports.

Document recurring field issues and provide detailed technical reporting to leadership and engineering teams.

Support product launches, engineering validation activities, field campaigns, and aftermarket process improvement initiatives.

Recommend improvements that enhance service efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Travel & Field Support

Travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada to support dealers, customer sites, training events, trade shows, and field service requirements.

Provide hands-on technical support and equipment troubleshooting in field environments.
Experience
-
Degree in Engineering, Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

5+ years of experience supporting heavy equipment, diesel engines, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, or similar OEM products.

Experience providing technical support within OEM, dealer, distributor, or field service environments.
Technical Knowledge
-
Strong understanding of hydraulic diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, ECM/CANbus systems, and mechanical equipment systems.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, technical manuals, and engineering documentation.

Experience utilizing diagnostic software, multimeters, pressure testing equipment, and data-logging tools.

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Skills & Abilities

Excellent communication, customer service, and technical writing skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while responding to dealer and customer needs with urgency and professionalism.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently in remote field environments with minimal supervision.

Willingness to travel approximately 60–70% throughout North America.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting wheel loaders, excavators, motor graders, aerial equipment, material handling equipment, or related heavy machinery.

Prior OEM or dealer-level product support experience.

Familiarity with telematics systems, ECU programming/flashing, and machine commissioning.

Experience supporting warranty analysis, failure reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.

Experience conducting dealer technical training and field support programs.
-
Experience supporting new product launches, field campaigns, and dealer development initiatives.

Experience working within growth-stage, start-up, or rapidly expanding organizations.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in outdoor environments, construction sites, warehouses, and service shop facilities.

Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Ability to climb on, inspect, and evaluate heavy equipment safely.

Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and climbing during diagnostics and repairs.

Ability to operate and test heavy equipment for troubleshooting and verification purposes.

Ability to travel extensively by vehicle and air throughout North America.
Territory
North America
The territory includes extensive travel throughout the United States and Canada in support of dealers, customers, field service activities, training programs, product launches, and aftermarket support initiatives.
