DevOps Engineer

We are actively interviewing candidates for a DevOps opportunity.

Our client is a Software company rooted in Machine Learning and Data Science with a mission of building software that delights end users.

We are building a Cognitive System to augment human intelligence for Oil & Gas exploration & production activities. We are pioneering a technology that will help technical teams and their management make better decisions in a fraction of the time previously required and ultimately decrease the risk of their investments.
 
Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools to deliver Cloud Service

• Design, develop and test automation scripts to deploy and configure systems, applications, fixes and migrations

• Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance and operability in mind

• Provision and administer VMs in ESX hosts and AWS

• Assist production push

• Assist in monitoring the production environment

• Configure desktops and setup/troubleshoot employee Logins/access

 
Required skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 5+ years of experience with Chef (primary), Ansible, Fabric, Puppet or SaltStack

• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications using tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Etc

• Experience in AWS environment

• Experience in monitoring cloud-based systems using tools similar to New Relic.

 
Preferred skills

• Experience with Python

• Hands-on experience in build and administer VMs and Containers using tools such as Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes

• Experience in designing and maintaining cloud-based solutions with AWS
