We are currently interviewing candidates for eCommerce Director.


Our client ranks among the leading providers of news, data and analysis for the global energy industry by providing specialized data products and member-only subscription services to oil and gas professionals. 


The eCommerce / Circulation Director is responsible for the development and execution of digital-based customer acquisition and retention programs and campaigns for driving increased subscription revenues and audience growth. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in growing paid circulation of digital subscription-based products and has a track record in building CLV and executing campaigns and measuring results using leading edge digital marketing tools and BI software.

An effective eCommerce / Circulation Director will be entrepreneurial, results-driven, a creative thinker, problem-solver, and possess both a brand and quantitative marketing skillsets. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

Core Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute the marketing strategy to achieve measurable results with quantifiable ROI

  • Create, execute, and report on results through deployment of multi-channel programs across channels that include: email, content marketing, search and social advertising, and PPC

  • Leverage marketing automation tools, CRM and data analysis to bring scale to demand generation programs

  • Analyze data to report on campaign performance and to develop recommendations for improvement

  • Create highly-effective marketing messages that resonate and drive action

Requirements & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar relevant concentration

  • 5+ years successfully marketing and growing B2B subscription products

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in inbound and demand generation (lead generation, nurture campaigns, and audience segmentation)

  • Basic HTML and CSS skills

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo preferred but not required)

  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to develop creative solutions and business decisions

  • Creativity is a must, bringing new ideas to the table is a key to success in this role

  • Strong collaboration skills; able to develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, vendors, and internal stakeholders

  • Experience with target list building, management, cleansing, and segmentation

  • Experience with email marketing, web marketing, PPC, SEO, retargeting, social marketing

  • Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, functions, pivot tables, and lookups
