We are at a critical moment in their growth trajectory and as such they’re looking for a Key Account Director, US. The candidate must be a customer-oriented US Sales executive to assist in maintaining and growing its customer base across the US. The Manager will be responsible for adopting a hands-on customer relationship development approach with a focus on generating additional business from current customers as well as finding and growing new accounts.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs sales activities for new and renewal business for an assigned geographic area, set of accounts or product/service line to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives.

  • Develops clear and effective written proposals or quotations for current and prospective customers

  • Creates and maintains account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities

  • Maintains sales records, forecasts and reports in Salesforce

  • Participates in trade shows and conventions, schedules training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities

  • Cements business relationships at all levels within target customers, building trust and confidence in Akselos’ ability to deliver a technology and service that offers solutions, value and service excellence.

  • Seeks negotiated opportunities that offer solutions to customer requirements where Akselos is well positioned to meet the need.

  • Constantly monitors customer specific strategic & operational factors to ensure that current, reliable market intelligence is procured upon which sales opportunities can be identified and acted upon.

  • Continually protects and enhances Akselos’ reputation and perception in key accounts through the application of carefully planned customer development initiatives.

  • Acquire and continue to develop a comprehensive understanding of Akselos’ range of technology and capabilities and convey to customers any new developments which promote the company’s brand for quality solutions and top-class service and performance.

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships internally, working across geographies, ensuring new opportunities are fully exploited.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required,

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in key account management within the oil & gas and energy industry with a proven track record of success,

  • Strong experience in leading the sales, development and growth of Operations improvement and simulation software to Heavy Industries, including Oil and Gas, Energy, Renewables, Mining, Petrochemical etc.

  • Thorough understanding of the technical sales process within US Operators and knowledge of the different players within those companies

  • Experience in a start-up or private equity backed operation is a plus with an ability to get into new market segment and grow a business from scratch.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and industry representatives

  • Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to drive vision and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced consultative sales skills to uncover, understand and define client needs and drive Akselos solution.

  • Hungry and entrepreneurial (experience in a start-up or private equity backed operation a plus)

  • Must be able to work well under pressure and able to work independently

  • Charismatic, engaging, positive and energetic with strong leadership ability

  • Highly self-aware, recognizes the impact of approach and behaviors on peers, direct reports, customers and other internal and external stakeholders

LOCATION

This role is based in Houston, TX or Boston, MA (Akselos offices) or any other relevant remote location.
