Vice President of Marketing

The Vice President of Marketing will lead the marketing organization. This primarily involves developing and executing strategies to grow our advertising and consumer revenue streams while strengthening the company’s market position.  The VP of Marketing will craft our customer acquisition and retention strategies across our digital, print, conference, and data lines of business. Media and eCommerce experience is preferred.

 

You should be an experienced, energetic leader with deep knowledge in B2B marketing. Your primary focus will be customer acquisition utilizing all channels of marketing at your disposal. As the leader, you will also be responsible for defining and positioning our brand, setting the team’s deliverables and budget, and successfully managing all marketing initiatives that you will define. Success in this role requires a results orientation, an appetite for data insights, and experience in leading small and large marketing initiatives for Budget deliverables. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and serve on the leadership team.

 

The goal is to provide a material step-change to revenue, audience and brand relevance within the changing energy market.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive and quantitative marketing strategies with measurable ROI to create awareness of the company’s business activities.

  • Supervise the department and provide guidance and feedback to other marketing professionals.

  • Produce new ideas for promotional events and activities and organize them efficiently to produce desired results.

  • Facilitate and maintain vendor relationships between businesses and suppliers, negotiate contracts, create vendor standards, and find the best available vendors.

  • Plan and execute campaigns for corporate data licensing, subscriptions, advertising campaigns, conference attendees, and sponsorships.

  • Conduct customer market research to keep abreast of audience interests, trends and competitor’s marketing movements.

  • Develop and maintain the marketing budget with stakeholders.

  • Credentials:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a marketing leadership role at B2B companies (B2B media preferred) overseeing and driving business results

  • Experience building, developing, and leading world-class marketing teams

  • Experience in email marketing, performance marketing, content marketing, product marketing, and event marketing

  • Strong technical aptitude, along with experience in relevant B2B marketing technologies

  • CRM and marketing automation know-how (we use HubSpot and Marketo)

  • Highly motivated, driven, self-starter, entrepreneurial

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or other relevant concentration
