We are actively interviewing candidates for Account Director-Reservoir and Production Simulation.
Our client is recognized as a world leader in reservoir and production simulation, especially for high-profile processes like CCS, geothermal and unconventional reservoirs. Working with our team is an invaluable opportunity to achieve a rewarding and stable sales position.
You will require a proven track record in software sales to the oil and gas industry, particularly in reservoir and production modeling. The position will be to sell a range of reservoir and production simulation software products and manage customers based in the USA. The exact territory and customer profile will be determined in conjunction with the successful candidate.
You will report to the Vice-President Americas and will be expected to work independently, with backing from the Houston team, to meet and exceed your financial targets. The position represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to learn and actively participate in a small expert team environment with the backing and opportunities of a larger global organization.
Location: Houston, Texas. However, a reasonable amount of travel should be expected to client offices located throughout the assigned territory in the US.
Knowledge & Skills:
Extensive experience dealing with and understanding the sales process as it relates to selling software and related services to oil and gas companies based in the USA and a network of relevant contacts within those companies.
Able to close deals effectively and not just generate interest and fill pipelines.
It would be advantageous for the candidate to have some of the following existing capabilities:
Previous sales experience with a reservoir modeling or a production engineering software company.
A good working knowledge of reservoir simulation software
A good working knowledge of production engineering software e.g. GAP, Prosper, Hysis, OLGA, Pipesim, Wellflo; or other similar products.
The successful candidate must be able to:
Work as part of a small local team and to work collaboratively with individuals from other teams across the globe.
Be a good communicator and able to see long-term value opportunities.
Be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, and have excellent communication skills both in written and verbal English.
Use standard MS Windows and associated office productivity software tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Use CRM to help manage customer relationships and sales opportunities.
Education: Expected to have BSc in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering-related degree. Alternative educational backgrounds will be considered if the potential candidate has the right experience.
