About the role

We are looking for a seasoned and experience sales professional to join our US sales team. This role will be at the forefront of the introduction of new software and consultancy services to the Energy industry.

The successful candidate will have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients while meeting and exceeding sales targets.

 

Requirement

  • Promote business development opportunities across the region.

  • Actively develop new and existing key accounts in the oil and gas industry.

  • Organize, manage, and develop contacts, accounts, leads and opportunities.

  • Map out account organizations and develop an extensive network of contacts across various asset teams, technology groups, R&D and specialist / services organizations.

  • Qualify sales opportunities.  Assess the potential fit for solutions to the relevant business and technical needs of geoscientists, managers, and executives. 

  • Perform situation analysis to assess the quality, timing, influence, and alignment of key decision maker.  Use this understanding to develop a sales strategy and action plan for you and your technical sales team to deliver.

  • Liaise with internal and external technical teams to ensure smooth, responsive progress of projects, liaising with both to identify & manage issues and immediately engaging senior management in exceptional situations.

  • Attend industry trade shows as required.

  • Maintain sales record in Salesforce.com to track the progress of the sales stages, coordinate teams and report on a weekly basis.

  • Be responsible for on-time-delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue forecasts that are aligned with revenue targets.

  • Meet sales targets. Prospect and promote software, services, multi-client, and training solutions to a minimum of 15 new regional based oil asset teams each quarter. Identify over 30 opportunities and services per quarter within teams working international exploration, unconventional oil, or conventional offshore and gas plays. Close over 2 million dollars in business per year.

 

Experience

  • Complex consultancy B2B sales experience in the Energy or Technology sectors

  • Has managed to long sales cycles and significant growth targets

  • Proven track record of achieving individual and team sales targets Experience of rapidly building sales pipeline from new and existing territories

  • Experience of rapidly building sales pipeline from new and existing territories

 

Qualifications

  • MSc and/or PhD educated in one of these disciplines Business Studies, Geology, Geophysics or Earth Science.
     

Technical Competencies

  • Deep understanding of industry known sales frameworks, methodologies, and processes

  • Able to hunt for new business opportunities and client rejection handling

  • Computer literate, proficient with MS Products (Word, Excel, PPT), Salesforce or similar CRM.

  • Excellent English Language skill, proficiency in another language is also desirable

  • Excellent numeric, written, and verbal communication skills
